This ride is the Best way to spend a Full Day (5-7 Hours) in the Canyons and Mountains of the Bryce Canyon Geological Region – also nick-named “Color Country.” There are two primary ways to do this ride. One way is as a leisurely ride starting in the Panguitch Valley, riding through 3 Canyons, with your picnic lunch plan for Peterson Point, an amazing promontory at over 8000′, surrounded by Mountains & Canyons in all directions at this one-of-a-kind 36o degree panoramic point.

The second way to approach this ride is with the first goal being the Ascent to Peterson Point, through either Casto Canyon or Lime Kiln & Middle Hancock Canyons.  This ride plan aims to cover 4 or 5 Canyons and several High Elevation Viewpoints and takes 7-8 Hours. After Peterson Point, your continuing ride plan takes you through Lower Hancock Canyon and then ascends to the highest point of the ride, the Blind Spring Mountain Saddle Summit- at over 9000′. After that you’ll continue further NE, where you’ll be some 30 miles into the wilderness, touring the numerous high elevation aspen groves as 10,426′ Adams Head Peak tours above you, before descending back to 6600′ feet in the Valley via Sanford Creek Canyon.(Below are a selection of shots taken by Owner Dave Walker along the 65 Mile 5 Canyon Ride)
